"The Famous Malaga Lake Dam"
Route 40, Malaga
Jake's On Lake Iona Malaga Lake
with the real "Tour de' France"cycling competition. So, 8:30am found Julio & Mrs. Julio out and about, peddling down the country roads of South Jersey just humming & whistling happy tunes as they traversed the distance from Iona Lake in Iona, NJ. to the Malaga Diner for breakfast. The ride also included the circumnavigation of Malaga Lake itself which required a moments' stop at the 'Famous Malaga Dam' located on Route 40.
Following a hearty repose of eggs & veggies and the knowledge that Mrs. Julio's bike had been reinforced with new air shocks, titanium struts, an extra large comfy seat to support her Glutinous Maximus, and tire pressure exceeding 1000 lbs. per square inch they continued on their way. The second portion of the trip took them past Malaga Lake Park, along the Delsea Drive Although it spritzed and drizzled the last half of the trip, their spirits were not dampened enough to prevent them from indulging in "Stage 2" of "The Tour de' South Jersey" on Sunday morning. |
